More Sarah McKenzie interview + return to regular program of new releases, top 3, and classic old smooth jazz

Share Tweet Email

Last week we had jazz pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger Sarah McKenzie in studio. After meeting her and interviewing her, I can not say enough superlatives about this wonderful young lady. She gave detailed and interesting answers to everything I asked. She has led such an interesting life and was certainly able to speak at length about it all. As a result I could not fit it all into one two hour show. This week I have a couple of segments and songs from that interview that I had to cut from last week’s show.

I will be playing new releases from the guitar of Norman Brown, the group The Rippingtons, the sax of Lebron Dennis, a vocal by Seal from the new album honoring Joni Mitchell - Joni 75 A Joni Mitchell Birthday Celebration, the piano of John Novello, and the sax of Marqueal Jordan.

As always in the middle of the first hour, I will play Billboard's top three songs in smooth jazz for this week.

The second hour is devoted to the classic old in smooth jazz. The closing song as usual will be a true classic among classics. This week will be from smooth jazz pioneer pianist David Benoit.
