Our opening is the latest song from the lady that provided the greatest moments in the history of this show. It was a remarkable thing when international star, jazz singer and jazz pianist Sarah McKenzie stopped by our Redding studio for an hour long interview with me. Sarah kindly provided us with so much information about her fascinating career and about music. Later she did a follow up telephone interview. I remain very grateful to her for sharing so much with us and making those interviews so interesting. Those programs are still available in our show archives on our programs on April 20, 2019 and January 9th, 2021.

Sarah has been performing throughout Europe but has now returned to Los Angeles and recently delighted audiences at a Herb Alpert venue in that city. Her latest music release is a cover, a great jazz interpretation by the Sarah McKenzie quartet of a song written in 1936 by Irving Berlin for the Astaire and Rogers film Follow The Fleet, Her latest, this is Sarah McKenzie on the keys and with a vocal accompanied by the trumpet of Carlos Sarduy, the electric base of John Benitez, and the drums of Donald Edwards with the classic Let’s Face The Music And Dance.

Thank you for your continuing support of KKRN and of this program.
