Part one - I have a very special song to open our music this week. It was just released October 29th by South African singer, guitarist, and songwriter Jonathan Butler. I have seen him twice in live concerts. Trust me he is a fabulous performer. This song, co-written by Butler, was born out of tearful conversations with Rick Braun, Dave Koz, and others about the effects on all our lives of the pandemic, the election, racial inequality, and the deep divisions in our country. Contributing to the actual recording among others were Rick Braun, Dave Koz, Candy Dulfer, Jeffrey Osborne, and Maysa. I became aware of this very important song while watching it performed on Rick’s Cafe Live. While much information about it was discussed on that YouTube show, I feel it speaks for itself. The song is Jonathan Butler with his brand new single titled Our Voices Matter.
Part three - New releases from Jimmy Heath, Norman Brown, Kim Waters, and Byron Miller
