In which we leave the ’80s behind – for a while, at least. Another show inspired by our station-mate The Hermit, and his program Stuck In the Psychedelic Era, broadcast on Thursdays at noon.

Wild Season - the Sand Pebbles, from their album Ceduna, 2008. Ceduna is a renowned surf break in South Australia.

Beasty – Babe Rainbow, from an album they released in 2019 titled Today.

Gatjumak – the Andrew Gurruwiwi Band. The bio for this artist on Bandcamp calls it “A dirt-road-tested party-jam led by the blind, keytar-weilding elder Andrew Gurruwiwi and delivered in his mother tongue, Yolngu Matha”.

Mirage City – King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, from a new album titled Flight b741.

Find My Way – the band is sometimes cited as Lovers, or The Lovers, and the album is titled Black Orchid and it came out in 2003.

Falling Up - Tamam Shud, from their 1972 album Evolution.

Let It Go - Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile, their album Lotta Sea Lice, the record they made together in Melbourne in 2017.

Rich Man’s Blues – C.W. Stoneking, from his 2011 album King Hokum.

Until You Call My Name - Radical Son. It’s on a 2024 album titled Bilambiyal. Again citing Bandcamp, he’s singer from the Kamilaroi nation of Australia and the South Pacific nation of Tonga.

Up In Queensland – Carson, from their 1972 album Blown. Featuring Broderick Smith on vocals and harmonica.

Living Above The Law - Broderick Smith, from his 2018 album Man Out of Time.

In The Early Hours – Don Walker, the guy who wrote most the great songs for Cold Chisel. On this 2010 record, titled Unlimited Address, he’s calling himself Catfish.
