    In this episode of Bending the Arc, we speak with Annelise Pierce, founder of Shasta Scout, a free online news service for Shasta County. Their website states, "At Shasta Scout we believe a democratic community requires access to just and equitable news. We are a non-profit, independent, civic news organization focused on Shasta County’s diverse and investigative stories. Using research, interviews, documents and data, we scout out the truth to write stories that build an informed electorate with the power to create educated change for our community."

    Shasta Scout, available at shastascout.org, also offers a Community Voices series is funded by the North State Equity Fund.
