The introductory music for the show is "Braigh Loch Iall"; commonly referred to as "Braes (or Banks) of Locheil". It is played by the Edinburgh City Police Pipe Band from an LP issued in 1967 and reissued on the CD: Edinburgh City Police Pipe Band Revisited, shortly before the death of PM Iain McLeod.
